Why do you feel BNPL creates bad debt, anymore than say, a credit card? Genuine question.

Depending on the product, I feel some BNPL providers very flexibility provides avenues for consumers to mitigate bad debt. It’s why I tend to use Zip pay for purchases under $1000, I can structure repayments to fit my income, with a minimum $40 a month. Or, I can clear the whole debt that month. It’s appealing because signing up as a user takes literally 3 minutes, there’s no stuffing around with banks. Otherwise, it’s not any different to managing monthly repayments on a credit card. It’s simply appealing due to the minimum amount of stuffing around to apply.

Every credit provider has bad debts. It’s not simply a BNPL thing.
