Nice straw argument Olive, except he, David Gulpilill, wasnt moved off his land, he did have a job .a few in fact, and well paid id say. He just blew it all or gave it away. It was he who moved away from his "fathers land", not pushed, and he did have a house of sorts built for him. He just didnt want to live in it.
What he wanted was for someone else to pay to build him another house, with electricity, and town water and sewerage and a stipend for life.
The irony is , he moved away from the first house to live under a pile of corrugated iron in another part of the scrub, with yep...u guessed it, had no electricity, no town water or sewerage.
I like him as an movie actor, and he seems an amiable fellow , but bloody hell, he is a human being capable of rational thought and has to take some responsiblity for his own situation.
