A better move would be to rewrite the Constitution of Australia and eliminate all State and Territory governments but keep local government elected officials albeit under direct Federal government ministerial-departmental supervision; thereby dispensing with the $billions being wasted by State governments on useless State gov't dep'ts like both NSW and VIC DHHSs.
Enormous side benefit is a national approach to our economic recovery ahead after Covid subsides soon and no more moronic border obstructions passed off as supposedly necessary restrictions. While they're rewriting the Federal Constitution of Australia get rid of the bloated obstructive Federal Senate which is totally dispensable and an utter disgrace and total abomination to Charles Darwin's theory of human evolution.
