I cant blame Kiernann for this debacle it was happening a long time before he arrived. The workers and management will never admit responsability though.
SO who was really responsable I would say Clark should takes a big bunch of the blame for not being hands on in checking over the strip ratio and ore body make up early on given he is a geologist.
Maybe ASIC should have been called in in retrospect to determine if breaches in corporate governance had occured as there apears in retrospect a conflict of interest between Clarke with the way he received his proportion of shares and a lack of independance in reporting resource quality.

Couple that with him keeping on the MD jim wilton when poor Jim was way out of his depth intellectually and in experiance (looking back how could someone like JIM ever have been employed as a MD)
Then there was a production manager who had no idea what he was doing with the primary sludge pumps changing one for another without upgrading the CAT engines.
Personally AZC deserved to be dead 12 months ago but they strung along the Austrians to keep giveing them money who now have been left carrying this pup on life support.
AZC became a welfare institution for the local farmers as they went through a financial crisis, but I doubt the govt will top up the AZC fund for the local community like the Austrians have.
