I appreciate you having brought to light the fluid situation of the Artisans .The deployment of a comprehensive force of gendarmes has been deployed to redirect the Artisans from the Bassari mining site onto the new strip of land that has been allocated to them to continue there workings /livelihood there. I must correct you with regards your understanding of my post in the two areas you commented on . Firstly I was informed that Bassari was to meet the following day ( which would have been on Thursday 29th June ) .The reason for the meeting was to advance the progress of the Decree. There must have been communication earlier in JUNE to have this meeting in JUNE . You also stated that there had been no drilling in the month of June . I posted that I had been informed that infil drilling had recommenced.To have recommenced means that drilling was happening prior to my conversation on Wednesday 28th June .I do agree with you that the Douta exploration mine experienced both poor gold results in its first 6 months of production and coupled with the genuine Artisan problem it was decided to no longer persist with the project . Since then there has been a permanent presence of police living at the camp site . I am unable to confidently state how many Artisans have ventured onto the particular area where Pit 1 , 2 and 3 are in the last few months . I feel confident that whatever the number of Gendarmes have been sent will be the appropriate number to remove any issue at hand . I understand that Randgolds Massawa gold project is years away from producing gold . Toro Gold was crowing last year when they got their Presidential Decree and Mining permit that they would be developing the mine in January 2017 . Then they delayed that date to July 2017 . Now they have announced that there is not enough gold there at present for them to make a decision until mid 2018 . That leaves BASSARI as the only prospective GOLD MINING COMPANY in Senegal with nearly everything in place to start development of a new mine . There is no other company in the country the government can prioritize over Bassari . If you are correct and the mining minister has been recalcitrant in his duties then someone should tell him that Makabingui is the only place his country in going to get gold from other than from the existing Randgolds Sabadola gold mine . Lets hope that it is not Alex who Devilinc was refering to with the smacking of his forehead too many times . I can now understand why if it is.
