When does Centrelink and Dept. of Veterans Affairs consider you have left the country officially, on a cruise.
If for example, you depart from Sydney, dock in Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Darwin before heading off for Singapore. Have you left Australia at Sydney or Darwin?
I have never had to do immigration again, if I called-in continually into an Australian port.
Maybe I'm wrong. But I believe Centrelink/DVA considers me leaving the country at Sydney because the final destination is Singapore.
If so, I should've the right to go thru immigration at Darwin to reduce the days considered as being out off the country.
Immigration should know the itinerary and shares this info with the two depts. Otherwise data sharing between depts is a joke!
