I believe so! The only thing that distinguish you is the final disembarkation port on the immigration form.
Most short term cruises are incorporated into a long destination cruise.
Thats why I've suggested that immigration should consider the itinerary last port of call within Aust.

Once you go on holidays, whether overseas or locally, it should be halted until you return back to your residence.
I've spoken to a pensioner who gets household assistances and it ceases - has the option to get assistance(mowing) at his own expense- once he goes on holidays and its reinstated when he returns.
