……the vision to droughtproof Australia is a wonderful, feel good thought ... a dream ... and this inpart is probably holding back progression from dream to reality.

"…… he dared to dream that the parched and arid deadheart of Australia could be brought to life."
….Long before climatechange? ROFL.... it was going OKuntil that bit of ignorance.

…you dreamer guys arenuts, the $trillions in infrastructure needed let alone the relatively smallamount of water than feasibly captured…. …..you will produce a couple ofcabbages a year!
……If we were more educated, more aware of actions, free of religious BS and other 'belief' as opposed to'factual' systems the environment could support 8 billion, but we are not andprobably never will be.
“we are also here to acknowledge the genius of the firstAustralians who cared for our land for 60,000 years."
………Laugh? Nomadic mobsraping and pillaging from the natural bounties of the land. lol

Red C…..your going off mate.
Stop it!
and if you persist with an extra 100 million people here you willbe known as the….. WORST environmentalist ever.
This world cannot afford ANY increase the population.
"It is 2026 and theworld is gripped by climate change"
The only thing this worldwill be gripped by is idiocy.
What I like about your background postsis a more visionary approach to how all infrastructure projects caninterconnect to develop the country. Weneed more of that thinking. Let's dream big, like when we built the Snowy.
…..Climate scientists havebeen wrong for decades, why waste money on a losing team?
……we have large highaltitude dams in the flood prone north, utilising existing river systems andsome divergent canals etc. water is moved to 'seepage dams', dams built on sandstone or some other porous rock that filter into the basin.
Certainlythere needs to be a long term in plan for the Nation. I think there needs to bea Federal plan that is agreed and accommodated by the states. This plan shouldbe in terms of 5, 10, 15, 25 and 50 years.
