exactly they haven't actually lost one penny - they just wrote back the value of the asset,
now they benefit from future tax , and a much higher ROI , better bottom line
and up goes the share price which in turns brings back the " bottom" sellers who now become " top" buyers
and so it goes and goes ....welcome to the stock market.
