Depends on sentiment at the time I guess. Shorters prosper on their ability to instill fear rapidly into others. If news of doom and gloom reappear after that date, yes shorters may move in quickly to bring the price back in line but will usually overshoot down.
If shorters help me buy bank stocks at bargain basement prices I ain't complaining.
