when to refer to asic?

If the production targets fail to meet the predictions by CTO this year – now that they have been definite about calendar year 2009 production – should shareholders go to ASIC?

Surely ASIC has a role in keeping companies honest – and maybe in requiring that they produce monthly reports if things look dodgy.

The 25,000 oz target for 2009 is still there in the bidders statement for GML, released only yesterday. If they don’t meet that target then surely they would have to be breaching their responsibilities as directors and ASIC would need to know.
