I owned a stock that short squeezed last week, PTIX, and before it went up 4x the cost to borrow was around 450%, compared with AVR's current fee of only 5.11%. Of course I sold 80% of my PTIX position the day before the squeeze because I was sure that the company would have no choice but to dilute massively to stay Nasdaq listed. Instead they announced a merger, the stock shot up and I made money but a lot less than I could have.
