So once all paper money is worthless and the world is in anarchy explain how your block of gold will help you when an armed gang come and take it from you? Assuming they even wont it. If everything falls apart which I doubt I know I would want food, weapons and Fuel.

To the other poster I would love to know how can we have deflation and inflation?? Surely it will be one or the other. If you mean that they central banks will cause inflation to combat deflation then I doubt inflation will take off as the deflationary pressures will slow the price growth.

And Tammy, the chart of gold ETFs inc PMGOLD would be matching physical gold at the moment right? If so then if the chart of ETFs is heading to zero tehn what does that say about gold? PS I am not saying I think gold is going to zero just showing how pointless your comment was
