I agree. Its great the FDA want the treatment if it works, but we are still waiting for that info.
None of this matters if the therapy doesn't work, and everyone is counting on success based on that original group of 12 patients. There's still a huge risk of the therapy actually having no effect.
I'm hoping it works, it would be great to have another tool in our arsenal. And if it worked on covid ARDS it would be much more likely to be beneficial in regular ARDS. But efficacy is not a given, not even close.
Keep that in mind so you don't get surprised. I know what results I'm hoping for, but you have to be realistic when your money is on the line.
