No-one will be able to show that it is compulsory.
But that is only because consent is not an issue.
The question is meaningless.
I am afraid you have misread, or misunderstood something in the past.
A company is on the asx list, because the ASX feels it has the criteria that make it suitable.
They do not require permission , why would they?
