From the AFR piece ''Ares talks AMP Bank with Macquarie Group'' on 28 Jan
'AMP Bank is expected to record about $150 million profit in the coming financial year, and analysts reckon it could be worth $2 billion to $2.5 billion'
Either these guys have no idea or are very pro-AMP.
If it were possible for AMP Bank to make $150m on its own, and then the other business units Capital and Wealth pull in a measly $50m, then $200m profit would mean we may see a divi.
Yes this is all dreaming, but if Ferrari ever had a chance to redeem himself, it would require a $200m profit with divi. Yes, the divi would be small, but a small divi is better than no divi.
And then wave your hand goodbye to ARES and show us you have finally worked out that an AMP with separate business units is the only way forward.
