AMP said in 2019 during the first attempt of selling AMP Life to Resolution:-
– Majority of A$755m net cash proceeds received on settlement to be returned to shareholders, subject to unforeseen circumstances.
At this time AMP was to receive $3B Cash from Resolution. Since then they have done a Capital Raise and raised over $650M.
So stands to reason that they should return $755m to share holders as they mentioned in 2019.
If they did, this would equate to almost 22 cents/Share.
