There is a $500m remediation bill on the way arising from the mooted parliamentary inquiry.
AMP had the opportunity to do the right thing by their adviser network but instead, they chose to shaft them. No doubt, AMP expected that they could just use their size and strength to walk all over their advisers and that no one would hold them to account. Well here we are and the ALP senator, O'Neill, has stepped in and pushed for a parliamentary inquiry.
Now, all of the advisers have lost all faith in AMP and will be running for the door along with their clients. A forced payout from AMP, thanks to the work of O'Neill and her senate colleagues is also on the cards. Of course, this will take a year or two to play out but the bell tolls for AMP.

The lessons from the Royal Commission have been missed by AMP and sadly it looks like it will be death by a thousand cuts for this once behemoth. Oh, how the mighty have fallen!
