Don't forget also, now that they have sold AMP Life, and are making steps to further simplify the company, they envisage cost cutting savings of $300 Million.
When you add that onto what they could be earning now, it won't be long before they are back earning north of $500M /year. They also will be pulling in 20% of Resolution's profit, what will that be worth?
With a new Strategy in place, and with plenty of cash to implement it, I expect them to be earning much more than this in the years ahead.
The downfall this year was caused mainly by covid-19, there are many vaccines being tested as we speak, some producing antibodies to fight the disease. So I expect 2021 to be a much better year for financial companies than 2020 when these vaccines are released to the public.
