not same basis if Dexus was already cheaper and AMP have just reduced fees to match Dexus. The fee reduction will protect AMP mandate which is great. But it will not attract new mandates and profit will be reduced. It is the need for this type of fee reduction across AMP Capital and wealth management that share price has declined.
The move by AMP was a sensible defensive measure but to see it as an attacking measure is not reasonable.
