I see this no job loss in AMP differently. Business is not very busy during this pandemic period. Certainly AMP can temporary stand down some employees to cut the cost. However, the management team does nothing; still hire the same amount of people. I am glad no one lose the job in AMP; however from the business point of view, AMP is not a charity organisation. Not cutting the cost, no good to the share holders. A mature management team should consider the shareholders' best interests at first; and then the society responsibilities. Even NAB CEO Ross M had to announce some jobs had to go in this challenging economic environment. NSW premier considered no pay rise for the public servants. AMP runs some similar business as Macquarie Bank, why these two companies have significantly different achievements? It is the management team. The above are my opinions. Please don't be offended.
