AMP advisor caught in forgery scandal

A financial advisor linked to AMP has allegedly been caught forging signatures on loan contracts. Staff from the advisor’s company allegedly cut and pasted signatures on multiple documents with one instance involving a signature forged on a $600,000 loan without the person’s knowledge. A review of the loan exposed deficiencies in AMP’s credit approval processes and has recommended a review of more than 10 staff members.
