The example of CSR was mainly just to demonstrate that the court approval of schemes is not a rubber stamp.
Although the appeal win was actually on grounds that were a little narrower than you might think, if you hadn't read the judgement [CSR won the case, on appeal, by the way , but it took a while].
And the furphy that the cases under litigation are fully accounted for?These are subsidiaries Punishment , companies dont get to run away from their subsidiaries' liabilities.
Would be fun if they could , I can think of all sorts of evil schemes.
