Anywho, what really struck me was that renewables have the ability to make electricity/energy cheaper and remain relatively cheap forever.

RethinkX 's opinion is that electricity will become a marginal cost commodity for a couple of reasons.

1. It's abundance and overproduction .

2. Competition with customer produced energy.

So, this made me think about the cost of energy and it's effect on mankind overall.

The cost of energy has always limited mankind. For those that have plenty and control it, they have prospered more than others. But ultimately, the cost has always been the limiting factor.
In some cases the cost is genuine because of logistics but mostly it is about control and manipulation of prices. Something that humans have got used to for over a century. Think OPEC. Think about oil exploration which continues to get harder and much more expensive etc.

So, that cost of energy has limited growth, development, living standards, entrepreneurship etc for ever.

Now, think about how life would change if energy was very cheap. If the input energy price never changed. Ever.

Even just from an industrial perspective.

All those things that were limited or out of the question could now be possible.

Desalination, smelting, computing, automation etc. All kinds of energy hungry processes that are restricted purely because of input energy cost.

All would be let off the chain with much cheaper energy that is no longer price fixed by cartels.

Mankind is about to get a living standard turbo boost thanks to renewable energy. The next industrial revolution is starting now.

Small wonder Victoria's Dictator Dan has been targeted by the fossil fuel forces of darkness as his government accelerates Victoria's march to becoming 100% renewables driven.
