There is nothing meaningless about the figures, they are true facts, and where posted to draw peoples attention to the fact that the Jews are a special people group, and will always prevail against seemingly impossible odds as has happened through out history.
Deuteronomy 7:6 For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all peoples on the face of the earth.
A verse for us all to search out, read, consider and follow, John 3:16. Why, because our eternal future depends on us claiming it for ourselves!
