I will tell you what is wrong first hand,as a retailer of there product.
There product is no longer exclusive hence people do not want it! They have allowed through pure greed for the likes of retailer city beach to barstardize there product by first supplying them and in return there product is copied under a different name within 6 weeks,selling at huge discounts to there(bbg)own.
Word is as bbg has several products under its banner in city beach it cannot afford to drop accounts.Catch 22 you could say!
There core assets, namely the surf shops that put them there in the first place have been shown no loyalty.Mark up of goods need to be increased to intice shops to want to hold more of there product ,not less.You would think with a strong $A buying prices would be passed on to shops but that hasn't happened.Until they start showing loyalty to there original customers who pushed the image they run the risk of following the likes of hot tuna, mambo,bad boy etc who got greedy and caused over supply by going into myers etc,making the product run of the mill instead of a culture to be purchased only from a serious lifestyle store.
