IMO Big Kev wants to mine but this cost a lot of money to do.
What Big Kev wants is to sell some of the high grade ore to FMG (This is my opinion only not based on any facts)to cover the cost of setting up the mine.
He may also prove up the diamond find (If psooible) and sell this off to assist in cost of mining iron ore.
Mining is still a long way off.
As for a take over this may not be up to Big Kev but the more the sp goes up the harder it becomes for someone to make a take over offer.
A joint venture with FMG seems the most likely should there be a joint venture
