If this is the case, then you DPONT subsidies Telsa or any EV over $40k...you make the mass market cars (for the 60k trip) affordable & charge luxury tax / per km on teh others....how many of the 60 km drivers (on average) need to get to 100 kmp in under 2 seconds????
Also makes the case for a much much smaller battery & less Co2....No?
