Your right- My 3 Tonne tow tug Landrover is capable of that easily - I get to pay for it of course.
I made a packet on a short play with Solid State Battery stock. It paid for a quirky MGxsEV. It is a short assed shocker in range and will not towDont get me started on WTPL rubbish claims
It is "WLTP (World Harmonised Light Vehicle Test)" and the biggest con job since claims my Disco was sub 10 litres per 100km - It can be if I drive at 90kph and am not towing! The Landrover is 4wd and tow duties only now.
36000km+ on the EV now via family Chemotherapy country runs. Solar at home helps as do some freebie charge points. The Full cost of charging via GRID is about 42kWh @ .36 cents still cheap. Wish it was C02 free Nuclear power
I do get to pay a per KM tax for roads here in Mexico. Main other point of difference is servicing and maintenance. Landrover costed 2-5000 per year when it was my primary Drive- It is over 10 years old. The EV has had just one service and is not due for its second for another few thousand!
Doubt force will be needed when those Solid State batteries and another item such as hydrogen fuel cell as a hybrid make towing and long Distance possible. It is not here yet. Costs are Diving faster than I thought possible. Waiting with interest. We need realistic and reliable not hyped up clap trap via some nut a twittersphere
PS I run mostly, At times I am a MAML forgive meClearly I have no Pride Pic at top
Have a great day doing it your way.
