Yes this principle makes perfect sense of course. The energy creating the extra power actually comes from the excavator loading the ore.

It's been 15 years since I was there but I recall going up hill to get to Tom Price and Mt Newman so there maybe some loaded downhill run ... but given the amount of ore extracted they are probably holes in the the ground now
