You want to improve air quality in CBD's and yet you are happy to drive and park EV's in such places?? The same EV's that can self combust and create chemical fires producing thick black toxic fumes right in the thick of it??
If EV's are the only type of vehicles allowed in CBD's it's time to go and shop or do whatever business elsewhere.
If I see an EV parked anywhere, I'll make sure to keep my distance unless I want insurance money for my ICE vehicle.ICE vehicle. The argument that an EV is cheaper is a barrel of laughs to ICE vehicle owners. Just for the cost of a replacement EV car battery one can buy a pretty decent ICE vehicle that will outlast the EV.
If you want to compare the real cost of an EV to an ICE vehicle stop subsidizing the former.
If these chemical potential timebombs were so cheap and effective then why would they need to be subsidised by every tax payer?? Remember, the money is not forked out by the politicians - it's forked out from the moneys these politicians collect from all.
As for saving the planet, that's another joke, as it is highly unlikely given the chemical fires that each of these limited life and expensive cars offer both during and after their short life span. Have you seen any EV that goes up in smoke - it's a sight to behold to see one's $70k plus vehicle exploding with toxic fumes and even firefighters have a major challenge.
EV's will not in any way save the planet but it will take your savings from your bank balance. The banks are happy too as it means a whole lot of new revenue generation via interest charged on EV loans. So who are the losers?? AIMO
