Now compare that to an ICE, over a 10 year 1 Million loaded km life a standard semi has burnt about 800 000 litres and a B Double, 1 Million litres of diesel. Apart from contributing to our unfortunate atmosphere and breathing some of it in we will never see those hydrocarbons again. Depending on how you calculate it say $2M (in todays money) of raw resources burnt in one truck and that is before approximately1000 litres of sump oil worth another $10K plus AdBlue, transmission oil, coolant, belts, filters and the labour required to change it all.
