Agree there is a lot of political games but marketing like this happens all the time.

China ban importing of Oz Lobster, we sell to a conglomerate in Hong Kong for a few dollars less than previous and now that lobster is sold in China as Sothern Hemisphere premium Lobster, everyone is still happy, and they have made their statement!
