You are correct. The ability to read a word that has all the correct letters but assembled in a jumbled form, ie. ahve for have, is well known and documented.

Perhaps I carry the flag too high for precise spelling (and grammar but that's a forlorn hope), yet it strikes me that in conversation with people one is more likely to feel a learned person (or pretending one) has greater knowledge.

Yes, even a gap-toothed front rower can be an educated man, and his education will ensure he applies his learnings in public.

But there is no excuse for our younger HC contributors to be illiterate, as well-educated as they are in these times.

If they wish to learn from this forum, then show us they have the ability to discuss in complete thoughts and sentences.
