I have an etrade account. It has a tool section where you can chose 5 criteria (from a massive range) to filter down to stock with certain criteria.
I don't use it so much for the large caps that make up the bulk of my portfolio, however I use it heavily to see if there are small caps of interest. I don't touch spec miners (too high risk for me) and focus on profitable small companies with very sound balance sheets.
