In short - I believe we would be better partnering with someone else. If you recall we signed the deal in 2021. A year later in august 2022 the USA delivered the IRA a which opened up a multitude of new players interested in critical minerals on US soil. US,Korea/ Japan OEMs would all have interest we just have to get permitted. The premium for US produced lithium is being ignored in our current price (full $7500 rebate on EV’s)

Why not EcoPro instead? Why wouldn’t RIO take a look at our US $150m cap with all the engineering work 80pc completed.

Answer : cause we have an agreement with SBSW who are struggling with their own business atm. They also need to find US$600m to fund their share of RR and then fund increased op ex. Are they going to that with Li at these prices?
Who knows if they can but hopefully they let us know their intentions sooner rather than later.

I think we would be fine finding another partner. We just need to permitted.
