I know where you are coming from, but I've been investing since 1985 and my bigger regrets are selling too early.
You can only lose what you put in, but what you can miss out on is unlimited. An example that springs to mind was buying Aristocrat back in 2003 at 83c and selling the same day at 89c thinking the gain in one day was pretty good, only to watch them rise to over $16. Okay, so they are $5 something now, but dreaming about what I missed out on hurt more than the occasional Stanilite or other duds.
Not saying that will happen to BTA cos who knows, but with a well diversified portfolio even if you few disappear the winners more than compensate.
