I cannot put a timeframe on that but two things should keep the time taken as short as possible:
1. Though AKIDA is revolutionary the company has chosen 28nm which is a proven method of fabrication and the company has stated that there is nothing unusual required of TSMC. From my reading by the end of 2017 TSMC had ironed out all of the issues identified with the fabrication on 28nm.
2. Socionext is required to provide a turnkey outcome so will be involved in the sampling and have seen fit to announce their platform incorporating AKIDA which must evidence a degree of confidence that the fabrication will proceed smoothly.
