@zipperlip … I have conviction in pumped hydro for massive storage of renewables … yes imo the tender process was flawed for insufficient geotechnical investigations AND with the initial contractor selection … the post award period was characterised by poor conduct and poor ethics imo as pricing and methodologies was shopped around (imo based on first hand experience) … it seemed obvious imo that the successful tenderer had gone in too cheap and struggled for many of the poor cost based subcontractor selections they subsequently made due to their self imposed budget constraints … a good project will prevail, albeit with a longer pay back period.
