All I can add is never go this process alone....no-one/business is on your side, they will rip you blind if you reduce your grip on your wallet.
ALWAYS first and I do mean first...before making any phonecall (or sitting down to budget even)to any other institution/organization etc make an appointment at a charity based financial counseling organization....they are the one and only entity within our entire society matrix who's opinion can be trusted to be in your best interest to the best of their and regulated ability allows.
One that I know of that has a financial counseling department is lifeline, sure their are more.....without a GENUINE situational advocate in Australia today you got nothing.... like a piece of paper in the wind.
