I normally do the opposite, just do not put them on ignore(choose not to respond to them if its BS, I haven't put anybody on ignore not even the fake Michael Douglas), they do a lot of hard work for you, they bring an alternate reality of the stocks you hold (many are BS), but if you cut through their BS you will get some alternate perspective...
some of the shorting is co-ordinated activity (you see they S88te their pants going alone), you will know when to enter or exit or put more based on your confidence in the stock, as clinical stage biotech is a bloody long game, lots of games will be played in between...
I normally do the opposite, just do not put them on...
