Pretty accurate, just fixed a few things:
Very difficult time to invest in anything let alone a spec biotech like Imugene.
On the one hand you have sage advice from Warren Buffet (who clearly knows what he is doing) - “I will tell you how to become rich. Close the doors. Be fearful when others are greedy. Be greedy when others are fearful.”
Let's talk about fear.
We have a very scary world that is going through an unfamiliar transformation process...
- China unstable and run by a megalomaniac
- Russia unstable and run by another megalomaniac
- Countries worshiping at the feet of Saint Greta and sending their economies broke
- Global warming is causing an increasing number of disasters, raising costs and increasing uncertainty
- Most of the developed world is entering population decline and baby boomer retirement when global economics depends on growth
- Global fertilizer shortages which will shortly lead to escalating food prices and famine in some countries
- Most developed economies are facing post-COVID inflationary spirals
- And we have a younger generation more caring about being woke than going broke.
- And whilst the younger generation struggle to buy a house, we have an older generation more interested in making themselves richer through unfair superannuation taxation and housing policies
- And here in Australia we have a government that thinks now is the time to start another starry-eyed, Whitlam-esk, generational, social reform program full of unintended consequences.
- And here in Australia we've finally escaped a government who achieved absolutely nothing over 10 years whilst somehow tripling government debt.
Little wonder that people are keeping money in their pockets and pulling it out of equities.
No-one can call this shot.
But then, they never could.
Let's talk about Imugene
What we do know is that cancer is a growth industry, Imugene appears to be developing a potentially high-value treatment for some of these cancers, and that big Pharma will pay big for a new patented drug with a giant market.
We also know, despite the positive signs, good reports, and significant progress - there is no guarantee they will deliver.
We also know the science takes time, the trials take even longer.
It's one thing to invent it, it's another thing to have it approved by the FDA.
Little wonder Imugene is currently at bargain basement prices.
