Everything gets blamed on "Climate Change". The sahara was once covered in vegetation and supported wildlife, it was at a time when the earth was hotter and monsoon rains swept the Sahara.
The Sahara is now greening around the edges due to a warming earth and more CO2.
I think most of the problems occur because of overpopulation(global swarming) as in African countries where women have to walk for kilometers to collect a few sticks to cook their food, the country has become denuded causing climate change and desertification.
