Tootgarook? My mum lives at West Rosebud, just off the Nepean Hwy, so I know the area well. It may be a good time to buy. But the area is riddled with holiday homes. Guess what's first on the scratch list when baby boomers don't have enough wealth as they head into retirement? Not only that, but that area is also a finacially depressed area that mainly has seasonal work. Those who are silly enough to live there during their working years are in for a hard time employment wise. Right now would I be buying there? My answer is this - don't ask a real estate agent for advice. Ask an accountant!
