With the PFS is around the corner, it is worth re reading ASX releases as well as interviews by COB’s CEO. A lot of info is already available:
-For instance: in a Nov 28th 2017 interview with Matt Bohlsen, COB’s CEO , Joe Kadevarek, mentioned that Cobalt laterite refineries require a lot of acid: COB will only need less than 10% of it.
He also states that because the ore is sulphide, its processing is simpler. The company will only need to refine 20% of the mined ore ( by then at a 0.4-0.5% grade= DRC head grade) and it is at the refining stage where the bulk of the production costs occur.
-On May 24^thin an interview with Resourcestocks he highlights the focus on elemental sulphur.“This is an important building block and significantly reduces both capital and operating costs relative to producing sulphuric acid. There are further advantages, in particular from marketing and permitting perspectives, where elemental sulphur creates strong advantages for the project.”
In the same interview he refers to the Laterite project risk:Korean (KORES) and Japanese (Sumitomo) partners have invested heavily in the US$8 Billion Ambatovy project (Madagascar). This is a large scale nickel-cobalt laterite operation that has not delivered promised returns. This experience is shaping future investment expectations. A lower risk cobalt sulphide resource( like COB) looks very attractive in comparison.
Finally JK says that by delivering a PFS it will derisk the Thackaringa Cobalt Project and commercial and investment interest will follow.
To  end, some comments from COB’s key people:
Proactive Inv. 19 March:   COB CEO:
“The confidence of an indicated resource ( 72% now) is a big tick, the scale (61 000 T of contained Cobalt) is a big tick and that is only the first double punch because as we come into the PFS investors will see how we will process the ore, and how effectively we can do that.”
-Proactive Investor interview April 9^th:
Trangie Johnston,  now ex Director of COB.”The next major catalyst … will be the release of a pre-feasibility study (PFS),….”
“It will be the first time the marketplace can see the economics of the project, and work done to date is indicating that the market will be surprised and impressed.”
-Proactive Inv: 20 April: by COB’s CEO
“Steady progress is being made in this regard (the PFS) and results to date have been positive”
-Proactive Inv. May1st: COB’s CEO
“We are very excited to be delivering the project PFS, as it will showcase the size, longevity and value of the world-class Thackaringa Cobalt Project.”

I hear you Dunc, and I appreciate your every input. However, it is frightening to see a 60% retracement on the stock in several months. Makes you test your conviction. The only way to remain long is to be in early enough. I am concerned as to why the market has not moved the stock higher in anticipation of the PFS. Will there be a sell on the news situation developing here?  Should we all stay the course? Is the market smart enough to realize that this investment is a great one?   Lots of fast money here I believe with little staying power. Comments?
