I think if people change their mindset of TA being a way to increase the "probability" of a trade going well, rather than a "prediction" of future movement, then you may see it in a different light.
TA exists because it can be a way to win 7 out of 10 trades rather than 6 out of 10.
caveat: if you have a system that works of course.
Elliot waves (by themselves) won't amount to much at all IMO.
