No point in wasting the franking credits as buyer is likely to be an overseas based and unable to use them. Given currency upside for o/s buyer, leaving al of the cash on the table is unlikely to be in shareholder interests and means value of company is being heavily discounted. Even a smaller dividend to utilise the franking credits is worthy of consideration
