not sure if i agree or disagree,first 100% agree china will copy your designs,and yes agree different products suite different countries eg ships,electronics korea etc ,sry really no experience with the US but you make sense as to the US culture especially if i compare it to the australian culture.

But enog then you read and hear of industries that seem to stay in business,(surely we have cleared out the non performers) these are the industries we should at least try and support,wont list previous examples.
But we have a variety of options eg jv offshore co's,part offshore production etc but my point was we aren't even suggesting we are not a business friendly economy for a variety of reasons including our culture.
A post suggested energy prices dropping,not mine origin just informed me prices going up,google business energy forecasts its enough to deter any business investment ,all due to the pathetic way both sides of state govts sold of energy utilities.
Road transport,wow first business has to wait for 'any ' transport costs to be reduced but we are so uncompetitive regarding national freight compared to importing a container from china to each state its pathetic.
