I think you are being a bit unfair.
AC drilling is one of the cheapest types of drilling that an exploration company can do.AC drilling is used in first pass exploration programs and used as a precursor to generating higher priority drill targets for deeper RC or diamond drilling programes .AC drilling uses a small rig, which can drill quicker and at a much cheaper cost but is limited by depth. Almost always Aircore drilling is used as a ranking exercise to try and narrow down a large sample of targets into ‘high priority targets’ which can then be drilled using heavier, more expensive rigs which penetrate deeper where most
As per the MI6 quarterly report, the Koojan JV was explored with air-core drilling. The aim of this work was purely to define drill targets for follow-up. 79 air-core holes/1,479m were performed. The result of this work, plus work performed on the adjacent Moora area, has resulted in the definition of 22 new targets (see below) that will be assessed as part of a 10,000-15,000m RC/diamond core drilling program scheduled to commence in mid-November 2022. This includes further drilling to define the define the advanced Angepena, Zest and Mynt prospects.
So we have been delivered the drill targets. What more to you expect, a discovery?
Up to 4,000m of drilling is planned for the exciting Mynt prospect, where significant copper-gold mineralisation (up to 24m @ 0.7% Cu and 1.9g/t Au from 99m.
DR is being very judicious with our money. It is clear they would love another project to tide them over during the growing and cropping season, but they are not going to overpay and are waiting for the right project to arise. His ability to pivot quickly away from a project that doesn't measure up after due diligence is proof enough to me he is being very careful with our money, as per recent cancellation of the Ti Tree project acquisition. I'm personally very happy to be on board with the man who discovered KV and now steering this ship.
