    "Sydney and Melbourne aren't the centre of the universe."

    There is a lot of conventional wisdom out there that those two are the leads for the rest of the country but after a couple of months of growth the media hype is calling boom, boom, boom.

    Coming into the big retail spend time of year I get suspicious that consumers are so confident as released today because of the "equity" they have now built into their homes on the back of this "boom".

    Business not confident. Consumers confident. They can't both be right.

    If I was cynical, I might even suggest that the media are ramping property for retailers who advertise with them so consumers will release the brakes on spending.

    Starting to sound like Fat Bloater!!!! Its a conspiracy!!!
